FUND CHOICES FOR EMERGING MARKETS
Emerging Stock Markets are specialist areas where experienced fund managers, with established track records, are at a premium. Brian Dennehy (seen here) and his team keep in close touch with events and continually monitor oportunities and the funds making the most of them.
Below is a table with an alphabetical list of funds highlighted and recommended elsewhere in this research, in particular more focussed or specialist funds. But first let's look briefly at two outstanding global emerging market funds.
Franklin Templeton Global Emerging Markets
Templeton Global Emerging Markets fund, managed by a team headed up by the legendary Dr Mark Mobius, is notable for its intense analysis on the fundamental value of individual companies. Templeton's prudent value-driven approach, taking the long view, is appealing.

AXA Framlington Emerging Markets
William Calvert has been running this fund since 1997. It has outperformed the index in each of the last 5 years, so it has the dual attraction of experienced management and outstanding performance. The Framlington team believe that emerging markets are enjoying a sustainable period of strong secular growth, and this team are certainly making the most of the potential.
